Strange "creating process" window blocks vbox manager UI

after upgrading to 4.0.10 when I start vm there is a strange window appears in the top blocking all manager's ui. It stays on 0% and its impossible to close it.
virtual machine is started though, but manager doesn't reflect this.
as a workaround I kill VirtualBox process and start again.
I tested on gentoo linux x86_64 as host and windows xp 32 as guest.
