When shutting down the host machine or trying to log out, VirtualBox provides the option of sending the shutdown signal, saving the machine state, or powering the machine off. After selecting any of these three options, VirtualBox VM cancels the host shutdown/logout.
This causes a minor inconvenience, since the user has to start the host shutdown or logout sequence again.
