描述

I use the VB on the Arch Linux host. The packages are being updated time to time. Since 7.0 version of the VirtualBox, I faced with annoying defect. When I start a virtual machine in fullscreen mode (e.g., it was saved or it was started previousely and then it was shut down while it was in fullscreen mode) AND it's being started on the second screen, then the floating menubar appears on the main screen while the VM window -- as expected, on the second screen. I.e., if I move the mouse pointer to the upper bound of the virtual machine's window, there is no menubar being appeared. It's being appeared if I move the mouse pointer to the top of the host desktop (which is on the primary screen). And I can manipulate with the virtual machine's window from here as usual (i.e., minimize it etc), but I need do it on the different screen. The workaround of this missbehaviour is to switch the VM fullscreen mode off/on (doesn't matter via hotkeys or with mouse) -- after that the menubar is being returned to the expected place.

I see the same thing on an Ubuntu 23.10 host, Budgie Desktop Environment, with VirtualBox versions up to and including VirtualBox-7.0.12.

I've had the same issue in different Linux distros, with different versions of the kernel, as well as of VBox itself. I still have this issue with VBox 7.0.10 in Debian 12. I also noticed that, whenever I unlock the screen after it have been locked, the menubar misbehaves again, so I have to switch fullscreen off and on again.
