When i wanted to update virtualbox version, i noticed that the link to the installer is not clickable, and couldn't copy it. 1.Install version 6.1.10 version
- click file>check for updates.
- see "a new version of the virtualbox has been released. You can download this version using the link"
but the link does not work

Still reproducible in 6.1.12-139181-Win. Can neither click nor copy the update download link.

I've been using Virtualbox for the last decade (well into #2484, #3339, and #5134) and the link in the update modal has worked for me with both Windows & OS X hosts until several months ago.
It's currently reproducible in Version 6.0.22 r137980 (Qt5.6.3) on OS X Mojave.
It's also really perplexing & frustrating that I was able to copy/paste that version string from the About modal but I still cannot copy/paste the link to the update file from the broken update modal.
The feedback from the multiOS forum user on this subject has not been helpful:

The blue underlined hyperlink formatted text in the update modal sets the expectation for it to be a link to the update file. If VB/Oracle really wants users to go through the Download page instead of directly downloading the file, the link in the modal should be changed to do that instead of leaving this frustrating defect in place.

This has been fixed in VirtualBox 6.1.16.
This has been the case for the last few versions for me at least as well. Currently the case on 6.1.10 for Mac as well. I hadn’t made a bug report but I did try and notify Oracle about it and was roundly ignored. Glad someone has filed a bug report, because that’s what it is, at least. Also, (very) annoyingly, the hyperlink text can’t be copied to then be pasted into an address bar, adding insult to injury. Should I make a separate bug report for that?
